Warming Herbal Teas and Infusions

Verona Public Library

February 15th, 2018 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join Mary Halsted, Clinical Herbalist and Apprentice of Wildwood Institute, and learn about herbs that can warm and soothe the body, support and strengthen the immune system, and nourish the soul. Specific remedies will be discussed, including teas and tinctures that ease flu and cold symptoms, effective cough syrups you can make at home, and foods and lifestyle choices that can help both prevent and heal common winter ailments. Herbal remedies provided for you to taste and smell.


So You Want to be an Herbalist?

Wildwood Institute

Tuesday, February 20th from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Kathleen Wildwood will provide an overview of the Herbal Apprenticeship program, including areas of study, structure of the program, expectations and commitments. A current Herbal Apprentice will present the student's perspective - what she has learned from the program, benefits and why she continues in the program. There will be time allowed for your questions and discussion of the material presented. Free to attend, discussion followed by light refreshments.
